When WPPI is, over what will you do? After your back home and getting, back to your normal life. After the hype and excitement from all the Inspirational speakers is not right in your face, when you review your notes will that be the same? What will you do? Will their words still move you to make a change whatever it was that took you there. This is what Life is all about, we have been given, all the information, given all the tools but what will you do with it…? I say let us challenge ourselves to be the few that really makes the changes… Is it scary, hard and difficult, YES? Life is difficult but we learned to crawl and then we learned to walk. Remember there are three types of people. Really, the big question is who are you?
- Are you the one that makes things happen?
- Are you the one that watches things happen?
- Are you the one that says what happened?
Figure it out and then act on it. Change will not come to you without you taking action. We need to take one-step at a time, “Rome was not built in a day”, (Author unknown) we have heard that so many times in our life. Everyone needs to make a living but remember to “LIVE”, as you go…
Remember what brought you to the WPPI convention in the first place. Write it down, go over your notes, make a plan then put it into action…
I got so much information and Inspirations from every speaker I heard speak. Let their insight move you and take action for yourself. You would not have been there if you did not think you needed some type of change, alteration or improvement at this given second in life, you would not have needed to go their if you thought you had all the answers already. You would have been speaking to all of us.
Whether, you are starting all over or just tweaking what you already have “DO IT”!
I realized that Dan and I, where still at the starting stage but we did not realize it totally before the convention. I thought build it and they will come, who is laughing now? Ok I am laughing at us, to think it would have been truly that easy. I thought we had covered the basics. We were on the right track but not right enough. Just because we built the Website (SHOWIT), made business card, built the blog, set up twitter and a facebook fan page, POOF instant bookings were supposed to start happening or at lets some inquiries. OK we did get one email but it seems fishy… So we will see. Now with my bubble deflated, and then with the speakers blowing it back up, we need to put the pedal to the metal and do it right. For us it is back to the drawing board. However, I am setting goals and timeframes for everything. I liked how Sue Brice put it,” AT SOME POINT THE THINKING MUST STOP AND ACTION MUST BE TAKEN”. This was one of the points most of the speakers did touch on I just liked the way she worded it.
I am going to challenge myself and have a weekly blog update on what the plan is and what I did to take action on that plan. I challenge you to do the same and let me know how it is going for you.
